VETRO

VETRO Evidence

Some VET courses are supported by government initiatives that subsidise costs in key industries where skilled workers are in demand. VETRO evidence is required to access this subsidised funding and to demonstrate a student’s interest in a pathway.

If you are unsure as to what evidence is required, please skip this section and contact your VET Coordinator once you have submitted your application form and they will be able to assist you in attaining this information.

For those who have aquired the required documentation please select the VETRO evidence category for the documents you will be submitting (course dependant):

Relevant Industry Exposure (eg. Paid employment, volunteer work, work experience)

Some examples of suitable evidence could include:

Letter from an employer
School Work Experience forms for that placement
White Card

Relevant Accredited Training (eg. Taster VET course)

Some examples of suitable evidence could include:

Enrolment form signed by a parent/guardian or the school
Statement of Attainment from the training provider

Relevant SACE Curriculum Work (eg. School Research Task into the industry or Industry Immersion Activity / Come’n’Try Day)

Some examples of suitable evidence could include:

No more than 2 page summary of the research task

With regard to my Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and School I agree to: *

Responsibly take up my role as a VET student and model appropriate behaviour that will enhance the reputation of AHSPs in both the local community and in the education system Prioritise attending my VET course during school timetabled work experience and exam weeks unless otherwise negotiated with my VET Coordinator Actively seek help and counselling when necessaryConsistently meet deadlines on all assignments and projectsContact my trainer and my school's VET Coordinator, if I am unable to attend a lesson due to ill health or another important reason

With regard to my Structured Work Placement/Workplace Learning I agree to (if applicable) *

Complete all relevant Workplace Learning Agreement FormsAttend my work placement for the normal hours of work for that job as specified in the Workplace Learning Agreement FormRing my work supervisor, and my school, if I am unable to attend a placement day due to ill health or another important reason (you will be expected to account for any absences and required to make up the lost hours at another time) Take responsibility for my work placement logbook and negotiate a convenient time for a meeting(s) with my supervisor(s) to discuss my progressEnsure that I am aware of and comply with the Work Health & Safety Act as it is related to my Work Placement

Follow all the rules and expectations of the school, RTO and workplace I am working in, recognising an infringement that necessitates disciplinary action will be dealt with in line with the site's regulations in negotiation with my supervisor. (This includes students who may not be enrolled full time at a school.) Discuss any problems that may arise with my VET Trainer or Work Placement Supervisor or VET Coordinator. (If parents have any issues, please talk to the VET Coordinator, before discussing the issues with the RTO or employer.)

As parent(s)/caregiver(s) of the applying student, or as a student living independently, I/we are committed to our child undertaking the VET course and understand that I/we will be legally liable for the full cost of the course including the training costs, consumables costs and administration costs associated with this course if my child or myself withdraws from this VET course at any time before or after the course commencement date.
